An Easy Way to Improve Posture

I had a fantastic time at the ACE Symposium for personal trainers in  beautiful San Diego. I learned new information, networked, and worked out a lot.

I would like to share an easy tip with you for improving posture that I learned. Place your first two fingers up to your lips. Then see if you can gently  push your head back a little. If you sit a a computer a lot, your head may start to protrude, leading to pain and poor posture. This quick reminder is a great way to keep your head aligned.

Get Stronger by Being Active

Why be active? It helps you lose weight, have more energy, and get stronger.  Strength is empowering.  If you haven't been active for awhile, find something fun to do. As a kid, I could never hula hoop.  The hula hoops for adults are weighted and so easy.  The first time I tried to hula hoop, I did it.  Now, I can't stop.  Try it.  You'll like it.

Losing Weight Is Easy

Losing weight is easy.  All you have to do is either eat less, exercise more, or both. Why is it so hard?
Your body seems to like things the way they are.  If you have a hard time losing weight, take it one step at a time.
Focus on one goal.  I will walk 1 mile every day.  BTW: There are seven days in a week.  Not five.  After you have established your new habit, pick another goal.  I will only have 100 calories of sweets a day.
Before you know it, you will start losing weight.  Maybe this won't be so hard.  Let's do it together.
