It was an honor to meet legendary broadcaster, Wink Martindale, when he hosted the Book Publicists of Southern California's 20th Annual IRWIN Awards Banquet.

As a 17-year-old deejay in Memphis, Wink met Elvis Presley and the two became longtime friends. After moving to Los Angeles, Wink appeared on the Ed Sullivan show for recording Deck of Cards.

Over the years, he hosted 21 game shows, including TicTac-Dough, Gambit, High Rollers, and Trivial Pursuit.

But did you know that Wink's favorite food is sauteed spinach? Good for you Wink. Very healthy and loaded with potassium. His favorite activity is tennis.
